The XXIst IAGA workshop will take place in Ishioka City, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan.
The city is home to the Kakioka Magnetic Observatory, which is kindly providing support to ensure the success of the workshop.
Located approximately 80 km north of Tokyo, this historical city is surrounded by abundant nature.
The excellent quality of the local groundwater has enabled the development of important local industries such as fruit farming and sake brewing,
and the products are now renowned as the city's specialities. Ishioka is also famous for its great traditional festival,
"Ishioka-no-Omatsuri", which is held every September.
